Description:

This is a 4 day training course that covers a wide range of wireless networking technologies, from 802.11 Wireless LANs (WLAN) to cellular and fixed wireless technologies.  Bluetooth, satellite communications and other technologies are also discussed.

Programme Objectives: 

On completion of the course, participants will be able to:

Ø      Define the appropriate wireless technology to be used in a given situation;

Ø      Define 802.11 WLAN technology;

Ø      Define personal Area Network (PAN) wireless technologies, such as Bluethooth;

Ø      Define fixed wireless technologies, such as 802.16; and

Ø      Describe cellular network technologies, architectures, services and their evolution

Who Should Attend?

This course is intended for network professions who are planning and /or operating wireless networks.  A technical background is recommended.

Pre-requisites:  Basic knowledge of networking.
